From the East

Greetings Brothers;

If you missed the Called Meeting on Monday night (March 21) you missed a great one.

BEHOLD !  We now have four (4) new Master Masons here in Noah Lodge.  Brothers Ed Ciafoni, Mike Gardner, Robert Sabo, and Owen Sutter.  Our Noah Lodge Brothers and Chris Brennan from Punta Gorda Lodge were raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason.  WOW what a night that was.

Noah Lodge Brothers did a fine job with all the speaking parts, and Punta Gorda Lodge brothers covered the Fellow Craft positions with excellence.  W.B. Ed Lanham provided an excellent lecture and Sean Whitaker read the Charge. Everyone did an excellent job and I was elated to see the support we received from Punta Gorda Lodge and others, to support our degree work - THANK-YOU ALL.
Your assistance made our evening a success and the brotherly love and fellowship was amazing.

Following the work, a meal and fellowship were enjoyed by all in the "Grant Hall."  Especially enjoyed were the cakes supplied by Mrs John McKinney and Mrs. Rich Bayly.  BOY do Masons like coconut cake!

Do not forget that this Saturday (March 26) is our Spaghetti Dinner from 4 till 7 P.M. at Noah Lodge.  Donation is $6.00 for spaghetti - meatballs - salad - garlic bread.  Fellowship will abound, bring a friend or two.  All Officers have advance tickets, or you can get one at the door.  Our regular Lodge meeting will be Monday night at 7:30 P.M.   I'll be looking for you.

Come see what we're going to do next.

In Brotherly love and fidelity,

Larry Newton,
Worshipful Master

My Brethren,

Our Bar-B-Que was a blast, if you missed it,
WOW, you missed a good time and a great opportunity to fellowship with all your brothers and friends.
Had just enough chicken to take care of all the hungry kitchen help at the end of the day, and was that some good chicken.  Thanks to our head cook Jack Scott and his prep cook and side kick John Duly who truly knows how to season and cook some fine chicken.

Coming up March 26 this coming Saturday Spaghetti Dinner, come out and enjoy a nice afternoon of fine dining at Noah, this is the first of many new and upcoming events - I even heard of a breakfast soon to come.
Let's end this first quarter on a productive note.

Going into our second quarter we should have 4 newly raised Brothers, Mike Gardner, Robert Sabo, Edward Ciophani and Owen Sutter who have worked long and hard to receive the 3rd degree in Freemasonry.  We have had a good group of Brothers showing for the practices and foresee a very nice degree to be delivered.

 Fraternally yours

SW Lawrence A. Tomlinson

Observing the time

Brothers,

In preparation for the upcoming degree, there have been many practices.  As usual, there are always discussions before and after usually on a variety of topics, they are opportunities to enjoy the company of some very dedicated and interesting individuals.

I have noticed a trend in the majority of the discussion as inevitably someone will comment with great pride about the fact that Noah Lodge always comes through in the end.

We have a group of Brothers some from our Lodge and some Brothers from Lodges far away who have been working hard to put this thing together and I believe that we are going to have a very memorable degree for our soon to be Brother Master Masons.
I for one will be proud to welcome the new Brothers and couldn't be more proud of the brothers who are the true reason that "Noah Lodge always comes through in the end".

Thanks Brothers,

Br. James Hamilton,
Junior Warden

From The Secretary's Desk

Our Secretary has been playing Doctor Pinball (he's the pinball) this month, so his article will be delayed a bit.)

Trash or Treasure?

My Brothers,

April is an important month in our faith life. In April we have Lent, Palm Sunday, Passover, Good Friday and Easter. Events that are the foundation for our faith and practice. As we struggle with today’s problems we can draw hope and strength remembering the struggles of our ancestors and know God has brought his people this
far and will continue to do so. As we observe and celebrate these great events let us be mindful of their importance and draw that hope and strength for the future.

Brethren, good times and good fellowship are alive and well at Noah Lodge on the second and fourth Monday of the month, come and enjoy it with us.

May God bless you every day in every way.

John McKinney
Chaplain
